The old Vandenberghe-Desurmont factory now houses part of the University of Lille III. This outstanding work of reconversion includes buildings dating from 1869. Rue Sainte Barbe. The old Lepoutre weavery, is on the official waiting list of French Historic Monuments. A landmark in the development of industrial Tourcoing at the beginning of the XXth century. Chaussée P. Curie.
The water tanks are visible signs of the huge waterworks constructed in Roubaix under the 2nd Empire to provide industrial water .
