From coat of arms to logo

A silver Ecu, a black cross with a small ecu, a golden bezzant on each branch are part of the coat of arms offered to the inhabitants of Tourcoing on June 2 1372 by the daughter of Guillaume de Mortague, Yolande, who had inherited the lands of Tourcoing from her father. Her ambition was to authenticate and guarantee the fabrics produced by the town’s drapers. Today, the simplified logo symbolises the town’s forward-looking attitude, its creativity and technical skills.
